It was the brainchild of Jørgen Bodum himself, the then twenty-six-year-old son of Peter Bodum, the founder of the company whose history began a year before the end of the Second World War. Today, BODUM is still a family-run company, relocated from Copenhagen to Switzerland in the 1970s, and headed by siblings Jørgen and Pia Bodum.
